AI Generation Returns an Error
If you click generate and see an error message, here are the most common causes and fixes.
Insufficient Credits
The most common cause. Check your credit balance in the sidebar. If it's too low for the content type you're generating, top up your credits or upgrade your plan.
Source Not Ready
You can only generate from sources with a "Ready" status. If the source is still processing, wait for it to complete before generating.
Newsletter on Non-Pro Plan
Newsletter generation is Pro-only. If you try to generate a newsletter on a Free or Creator plan, you'll see an error prompting you to upgrade.
Temporary AI Error
Occasionally the AI service returns an error due to high load or temporary issues. Wait 30 seconds and try again. If the error persists for more than a few minutes, email us at support@trystoke.io.
