Video Import Fails
If you see an error when trying to import a video, the following checklist will help identify the cause.
Check the URL
- Make sure the URL is a direct link to the video, not a playlist or channel page.
- For YouTube, the URL should contain watch?v= or be a youtu.be short link.
- For TikTok and Instagram, copy the URL from a desktop browser, not the mobile app.
Check Visibility
The video must be publicly accessible. Private, friends-only, or age-restricted videos cannot be imported.
Still Failing?
If the import fails with a valid public URL on an eligible plan, email us at support@trystoke.io with the URL and the error message you're seeing.
